Clemmie C. Perry
Clemmie C. Perry is a Corporate Training Executive at Lockheed Martin Corporation, a global security company that employs 140,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services. As a lead systems integrator and information technology company, the majority of Lockheed Martin's business is with the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. federal government agencies. Lockheed Martin is the largest provider of IT services, systems integration, and training to the U.S. Government. Ms. Perry is responsible for overseeing various types of training deliverables, which include (Web-based training - WBT, electronic performance support systems - EPSS, technology supported learning tools - TSL, instructional systems design - ISD, analysis, design, development and implementation of (ADDIE)processes for enterprise-wide training projects, instructor led training, train the trainer, online help and job aids). Her organization is responsible for providing training to the primary Lockheed Martin business areas: Aeronautics, Space Systems, Electronic Systems, Integrated Systems and Global Solutions and Corporate Headquarters. She manages a team of “virtual” Instructional Systems Designers and Multi-Media Developers, who are located throughout the various parts of the United States.
Ms. Perry has been involved in every aspect of multimedia and learning development with an emphasis in training development since 1990. She began her career in training with Florida Power and Light Company, Miami, Florida. She holds an M.S. Degree in Instructional Technology and Distance Education from Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She holds a B.S. Degree from Florida A&M University, Tallahassee, Florida. Ms. Perry has been active in her communities since her childhood, and has been featured in various magazines and newspapers. Her work in the community has been recognized by the following: U.S. Black Engineer Magazine, the U.S. White House Report to the Nation - Colin Powell’s America’s Promise Alliance for Youth, the U.S. Whitehouse Faith-Based Initiative Roundtable Committee on Technology, The Mayor and City of Miami - Honoree for Women Pioneering the Future, The Miami Herald – TECHS (Teaching Each Christian How to Use Systems) computer training program at Martin Memorial A.M.E. Church, Miami, FL, the Florida Governor’s Technology Forum, The Miami Herald, The Gospel Truth and the Florida Sentinel Newspapers.
Ms. Perry is also a published author, having written a book with her mother, Mrs. Doris Ross Reddick (former Hillsborough County School Board Member), on “Using Theology to Teach Technology”, a bible-based approach to teaching computer skills. She is also a former professional NFL Cheerleader for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Miami Dolphins football teams.
Ms. Perry serves on the Board of Computer Mentors Inc. and the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), Tampa Metropolitan Section. She is active in many learning, social and civic organizations which include: American Society for Training Development (ASTD), eLearning Guild, Society for Technical Communications (STC), Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA), Lt. General John D. Hopper Jr. - Tuskegee Airmen Chapter, MacDill, Air Force Base, and the National Football League (NFL) Alumni Association – Caring for Kids.
Ms. Perry speaks to organizations, civic groups, schools and churches on the: Future of work, 21st Century job skills and job disciplines of the future, Lifelong learning and retraining in the Global Knowledge Economy.
